CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox on Saturday announced they have agreed to terms on one-year contracts with closer Bobby Jenks and outfielder Carlos Quentin.

According to a news release from the team, Jenks' deal is worth $7.5 million, while Quentin got a $3.2 million contract. The deals also allow the Sox to avoid arbitration with both players.

The 28-year-old Jenks went 3-4 with 29 saves and a 3.71 ERA in 2009. He fell one save short of his fourth straight 30-save season. The closer ranks third in White Sox history with 146 saves.

Quentin, 27, hit .236 with 21 home runs and 56 RBI in 99 games last season, a campaign shortened by a stint on the disabled list from May 29 to July 19 with plantar fasciitis in his left foot.

Left-hander John Danks and right-hander Tony Pena are the Sox's remaining arbitration-eligible players.
